Wir hatten hohe Erwartungen an dieses Restaurant, wurden aber leider enttäuscht. Trotz Reservierung wurden wir an einen Tisch mit Papierservietten gesetzt, obwohl das Restaurant leer war( 3 Tische waren besetzt), während andere, offensichtlich hochwertigere Tische mit Stoffservietten frei waren. Das war bereits kein guter erster Eindruck. Als unser Essen kam, war es nur lauwarm, geschmacklich enttäuschend und völlig ungewürzt. Für ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse erwarte ich nicht nur optisch ansprechende Gerichte, sondern vor allem exzellenten Geschmack – beides hat hier gefehlt. Insgesamt war es kein Erlebnis, das wir wiederholen möchten. Schade!

Place was really cold, the waitress kindly moved us further into the restaurant up the stairs after our starters but it was just as cold. The starters were phenomenal, beautiful presented, fresh and tasty. The rest was a disappointment unfortunately, the reindeer roast was bland, (we both wanted the reindeer burger from the specials menu but we were told there wasn’t any however whilst waiting on our mains we saw 2 other tables receive them who ordered after us), the menu states all main dishes are served with bread, we had to request this as none arrived and we were told ‘I’ll get it if you want it’ - very disappointing! We both ordered French toast for pudding, it was fine, not warm enough and it was dry(it was more like a cinnamon swirl pastry), the rhubarb dressing was lovely though. Overall it was fine, wouldn’t visit again though or recommend.

We had a fabulous anniversary dinner (veg options delicious) with exceptionally good wine recommendations.

Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja meille käytiin aina ajoittain kertomassa, mikä tilanne oli tilausten kanssa, joten pitemmät odotusajat eivät niin haitanneet. Pasta, punajuuri ja rikkaat ritarit olivat oikein hyviä, muuten ruoka oli hieman pettymys (härkätartar, turska, joulumenu). Ruoka oli varmasti valmistettu oikein, mutta valitut maut eivät meidän osalta nyt oikein sopineet toisiinsa. Sattui olemaan erittäin kylmä pakkaspäivä, joten meidän istumapaikassamme lähimpänä ulko-ovea ihan rehellisesti sanottuna paleltui, vaikka meillä oli ihan lämpimät vaatteet päällä (tästä huonompi arvio ilmapiiriin).

Ruoka ja palvelu oli oikein hyvää. Pöytämme oli lähellä ulko-ovea ja siinä oli kyllä kylmä, siitä pieni miinus. Olisi kiva jos lapsille voisi saada pienemmän annoksen samoista joita muutkin syövät. Esimerkiksi menu olisi heillekin mukava maistella, mutta ei millään lailla järkevää kun eivät vain jaksa.

Lempiravintolani Rovaniemellä. Ruoka on aina herkullista ja makuun nähden kohtuuhintaista ja henkilökunta on poikkeuksetta ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Jokainen kokemus Rokassa on ollut ihana. Suosittelen!
